Learn about Restored Image’s Impactful Events for Community Restoration

Title I School Parent Education Program

Although the Affordable Care Act (formerly referred to as Obama Care) sought to enhance awareness regarding health insurance options, there remains a significant number of individuals unaware of their eligibility for free or subsidized health coverage. This issue is prevalent within our school system. Restored Image actively engages with local schools, especially Title I schools, to disseminate information about healthcare accessibility. In collaboration with our sponsor, The Insurance Hub, Restored Image regularly participates in school events like Meet the Teacher night, ESOL meetings, and more, aiming to deliver essential education on this matter. Our ability to communicate in English and Spanish increases our ability to communicate this information.

DVNF- Restored Image will distribute Comfort Kits to local veterans

DVNF- Restored Image is partnering with DVNF (Disabled Veterans National Foundation) to distribute Comfort Kits to local veterans. Our mutual goal is to provide basic necessities to homeless and struggling veterans by assembling and distributing Comfort Kits. Comfort Kits will be distributed to local veterans at the VFW Sunshine Post 3233 in Sarasota and at the Goodwill Manasota Veterans Services on the first Tuesday of each month starting in October of 2023.

Each Comfort Kit will include: Antibiotic ointment, adhesive bandages, bar soap, body wash, conditioner, cotton swabs, deodorant, floss, hair brush/comb, hand sanitizer, insect repellent, lip balm, socks, gloves, hat, razors, shampoo, tissues, toothpaste, toothbrush, water bottle and Ziploc bags.

Goodwill Manasota Veterans Services

On Monday mornings Restored Image drops off coffee, drinks and snacks to Todd Hughes, the Veterans Service Program Manager, at the Goodwill Manasota Veterans Services located at 8490 N. Lockwood Ridge Road in Sarasota. The donated coffee, drinks, and snacks are distributed to local veterans on Tuesday mornings from 9:00-12:00 during their Tuesday Mornings Veterans Coffee Social. Restored Image is proud and honored to serve our veteran community.

Charlotte County Boys and Girls Club

Restored Image provides snacks and drinks weekly to 80 children attending the Charlotte County Boys and Girls Club. Snacks and drinks are dropped off on Wednesday mornings for students to enjoy a snack and a cold drink when they get out of school and arrive at the Boys and Girls Club. Students perform much better, both socially and academically, when their stomachs are full, and their thirst is quenched! Restored Image is proud to partner with the Charlotte County Boys and Girls Club to help provide proper nutrition to our school aged children.

Bradenton Bridge Community Release Center

Restored Image has been assisting and supporting the ladies at The Bradenton Bridge to help them reacclimate into society after leaving the prison system. These women lack many of the basic daily necessities needed to survive in the world today. Donations in the forms of work clothing, dress clothes, sneakers, non-slip work shoes, gift cards, snacks, and bicycles have been distributed to the ladies and their children to help them secure items that they desperately need and to help them to properly navigate through their daily struggles..

The Remnant Café

Each Friday, members of Restored Image volunteer at The Remnant Café in Sarasota where they help to serve breakfast and lunch to their homeless guests. In addition to volunteering our time and services, Restored Image also provides donations to the Remnant Café and their patrons in the form of sneakers, shoes, work boots, tents, backpacks, sleeping bags, drinks, food items, snacks and gift cards.

Jesus Loves You Ministry

On Tuesdays or Wednesdays each week Restored Image partners with Jesus Loves You to distribute bagged lunches, drinks, and snacks to the homeless population living on the streets and in the woods throughout all of Charlotte County. Restored Image provides sneakers, clothing, backpacks, tents, drinks, and snacks and assists in distributing them to the homeless individuals who are desperately in need of these essential daily items.
